How do I connect to Xbox Live?
Xbox claims my network adapter is far from my router. I used to use an adapter wireless bridge output that worked very well. I have created a home office and the placement of new wireless router with disabilities the bridge because the system is on a network various energy at home. I bought a NETGEAR wireless adapter gateway N who worked briefly. Netgear told me that my cordless phone caused 5ghrz the signal to drop and they say 5ghrz not work with a cordless phone. The Xbox wireless adapter is configured to work in the frequency 2.4ghrz only. Does anyone have a solution to this challenge. The Xbox is 30-40 feet from the router and down a flight of stairs.
sounds close enough. if the phone NETGEAR says is causing the downward signal, which is probably the case despite being a 5 GHz wireless adpater is a typical and 2.4 GHz. Try disconnecting the phone and see if you can get the wireless to work. if it does, then it is the phone. if not, I fear it is another thing (I guess at this point is that the phone)
