Why does my signal strength drop on my WiFi?
I just set up a wireless network in my apartment with a high quality N router. For some reason the signal I receive will change from excellent to poor almost instantly. What could be causing this? I’m accessing the internet from about 100 ft from the router so I think the signal should remain pretty strong. If I go outside my bedroom the signal is always excellent. I don’t get it.
Your problem may lie with the routers firmware. Often, stock firmware isn’t the best and may cause problems for your computing experience.
I suggest looking on the companies web site and check for an update. Compare your routers current firmware to the most resent one, and see if there are any fixes.
If you download the firmware update for your router and find that it didn’t help, try updating the firmware on your wireless card that is connecting to your router.
I hope this information was useful for you. Best answer, please!
