Why is my FiOS unreliable?
I can use a wireless connection on my laptop, but recently it keeps disconnecting. I have to repair my connection or change the receiver inside and out to get it working again. Lately it has been deteriorating to the point that I have to restart my laptop and this afternoon I could not get it to work for an hour. I do not actually use the connection to the router but I use a wired connection to a signal amplifier. Reinforced Net-N and improve my speed, but is still so unreliable. Let me know if there's anything I might be doing wrong or other environmental factors that may be the cause of my ills. Also if there is software you can buy or download to help please tell me. You can not change to a new provider because I have yet one more year of contract.
Most likely this problem is not even FIOS, you're losing only one connection between the laptop and the router. Internet access still get to your router, but not go further.
