wireless router with usb connection
Connecting external hard drive to a wireless router?

My box of internet and wireless router is in a room without computers connected to it. All our teams are well up to cable or wireless router. I attached my Western Digital external hard drive to the router through a connection USB. However, I can not seem to access the files on your hard disk. Where I can find the hard drive of my computer that is connected to the router. Thanks!

A hard disk will not work for a USB port and a wireless router. Therefore it has to have a special interface box, or be a unit with an ethernet card built into it, no USB. What you can do is plug the USB drive on any computer on the network, and then configure the "Share" in the unit. That will make it visible to all network computers. It will work the same, and as fast as if connected to the router, but does not require the adapter. The computer acts as the adapter for you.
