Setting up a wireless network with two desktops?
Hi Tomorrow I'm going to buy a HP Pavilion Media Center M8325F desktop. I'll put it in my bedroom, but I need to find out how to get the connection to the Internet. Right now I have this computer in the family room connected to a cable modem, and is an old PC so I can not get to have to buy a wireless network card or something for it. Is there only one way I can connect an additional network cable on the wireless router, im sure you have more than one network input. Then I just leave the wireless router in this room (the lounge), and send the signal the pc back in my bedroom? Is that correct? I was wondering if I can buy the wireless router, it does also come with a card or a USB device that I give my new PC so you can read the sign? or do I have to buy separately? I hope you get what I mean.
Newer computers come with a wireless card …. internally you should not have to buy anything other than a wireless router …
