how do i print from my laptop at home without plugging into the printer?
i have a wireless router by the desktop and modem. the desktop is connected to a hp7130 allinone by a usb printer cable. do i need to purchase a wireless print server or can i set it up to print if i connect the printer to the wireless router with a patch cord? any thoughts? i would like to print without having to hard wire each time. Thanks in advance.
You can “share” the printer that’s connected to your desktop. That’s how we’ve got it done at our house. I print from my wireless laptop all the time. Of course, the desktop has to be turned on and logged in…
Our router actually has a print buffer and USB port built in to it. I haven’t gotten around to using it yet. Your router may have that feature, too.
