What is a good wireless router for home network?
I need a new router that provides good performance. My old man only said two bars on my laptop. I need one that is good for online games, downloading music on a laptop, and watching videos. All advice will be welcome. Looking at the Linksys WRT160N, and some comments would be nice. Thank you.
Wi-Fi N Trendnet – TEW-639GR Using a Wi-Fi b / g built-in receiver in the netbook. 5 bars within radius of 20 feet. 4 bars in about 25 feet radius of 3 bars within a radius of 45 feet. Video playback is smooth even at 3 bars to be considered fair / good connection. Mine is close to my PS3 and I created a test network bridge with my laptop and Wi-Fi and online play was smooth to 54 Mbps (Building a network bridge, because my PS3 is not compatible with Wi-Fi to connect my netbook that I can test the ability of Wi-Fi) My netbook has built in Wi-Fi b / g, or even I have tried to Wi-Fi N, because I have to buy the Wi-Fi USB adapter so N should double or triple the numbers above. You have more bars at a distance farther from the Wi-Fi router. To give a general idea.
